About Event

The 4th of July Family Celebration in San Gabriel Park was introduced by the Georgetown Sertoma Club in 1983. Immediately the site became the place to be each year for Georgetown families and friends along with many other holiday celebrants from neighboring communities. From its inception, the day-long festivities have attracted flow-through crowds of more than 25,000 during the 11-hour event, especially when the weather cooperates. Here is what the celebrants come to enjoy! A Kiddie Parade commencing at 11am with young folks riding bicycles, tricycles, carts, wagons and scooters decorated in red, white and blue colors. Visit Arts and Crafts booths where a great variety of wares, produced by artisans and proprietors, are available for viewing and purchase. Specialty foods to satisfy your taste buds at Food Vendor Sites located conveniently in the center of San Gabriel Park for everyone’s access. Youngsters may choose to find, pet and hold their favorite animal at Fry’s Fun Farm’s Petting Zoo or line up to go for an Amusement Ride within the park. Spread a blanket on the grass and enjoy a variety of Musical Entertainment throughout the afternoon and early evening leading up to the Grand Finale.
